About The Position

We’re hiring an organized and people-focused HR Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations and ensure employees have a smooth experience throughout the full employee lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in onboarding and offboarding, HR compliance, payroll coordination, HRIS management, employee support, and operational HR execution. You’ll work closely with leadership, recruiters, payroll, and employees to ensure HR processes remain accurate, compliant, and efficient. Requirements

  • 2+ years of HR support, HR operations, or people operations experience
  • Experience using HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, Zenefits, or similar systems
  • Familiarity with U.S. labor law compliance
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and HR reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification
  • Experience with multi-state payroll, international HR support, or startup environments
  • HRIS implementation or process improvement experience
  • Background supporting SaaS, professional services, or high-growth companies

Responsibilities

  • Post and manage job openings across LinkedIn, Indeed, career pages, and other job boards
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling
  • Communicate with candidates throughout early hiring stages
  • Support recruiters and hiring managers with hiring workflows
  • Prepare offer letters, onboarding documentation, orientation schedules, and employee packets
  • Ensure completion of I-9 documentation, E-Verify, tax forms, direct deposit setup, and compliance paperwork
  • Manage offboarding processes including access removal, equipment retrieval, and exit coordination
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems such as BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, Zenefits, or similar platforms
  • Track PTO, benefits enrollment, employee changes, and organizational updates
  • Generate HR reports related to headcount, turnover, compliance, and employee data
  • Support payroll preparation and reconciliation processes
  • Validate hours, deductions, and benefits data before payroll processing
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions
  • Coordinate open enrollment and benefits administration activities
  • Work closely with finance/payroll teams to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain HR policies, SOPs, and employee documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEOC, and multi-state labor laws
  • Maintain audit-ready HR records and documentation
  • Assist with HR process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Support engagement initiatives and performance management workflows
  • Escalate sensitive matters appropriately to HR leadership
  • Coordinate training sessions and compliance certifications
