About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking to add a part-time team member to our Human Resources Department. This person will manage special projects and administrative tasks related to People and Operations for our Association. We are looking for a candidate that is available to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. This part time position starts at $20.00 per hour, and up to 25 hours a week. The YMCA of Greater Richmond is a nonprofit organization with the goal of strengthening the foundations of community. Requirements

  • The successful candidate must have a high school degree or its equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Team, Sharepoint, One Drive).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Detail-Oriented with strong follow through and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and prospective candidates.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with HRIS and workforce management systems (UKG preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support Directors with onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire and volunteer documentation, background checks, payroll set-up and direct deposit enrollment.
  • Ability to [reform clerical and administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, inventory management and distribution of staff materials.
