About The Position

The HR Shared Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for employee assistance and information. Obtains and provides requested information or takes appropriate action to resolve, refer, or escalate issues in accordance with company and HR policies and procedures. This function works closely with the field HR teams, employees and management. This position also supports the HR department in the administration of assigned transactional work. In partnership with the Shared Services team, completes assignments in areas such as: HR system data entry, Onboarding, Off-boarding, and Benefits. Professionally and accurately responds to written and oral inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding HR questions, policies, issues, and status changes. This will include telephone, chat, e-mail and drop-in face-to-face interactions. Handles all aspects of pre-employment onboarding, including background check and drug screening process; I9 completion; new hire paperwork; and communications with candidate, management, and HR partner. Conducts new employee orientation via TEAMS or in person. Manages Workday workflows employee changes, employee updates, tuition reimbursement requests, termination documents, service award program, unemployment requests, and report running. Data entry into HR system for Canada all employee-related changes, including performing mass uploads and data audits. Interfaces with Human Resource Partners, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and various levels of Management to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems. Quickly and accurately resolves cases in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Updates team SOPs and works to identify process improvement opportunities. Responsible for the employee file maintenance. Maintains high degree of confidentiality. Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2+ year of Human Resource experience.
  • Experience with HR system data entry and basic reporting.
  • Knowledge of various areas of human resources including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, compensation and company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data quality.
  • MS Office Suite experience.
