About The Position

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for an HR Representative position at our Gibbon, NE location. As our HR Representative, you will: Provide confidential administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Enter data into HR and payroll systems accurately, consistently, and timely. Maintain working knowledge of health insurance and leave benefits. Follow through with employees for benefit enrollment eligibility, dependent verification, and leave administration. Prepare open job requisitions, post openings, and monitor applicant responses in ATS. Prepare orientation materials for new employees. Coordinate acknowledgement efforts for employee birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and bereavement. Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.) Maintain monthly HR reporting. Maintain employee files. Maintain a professional presence and demeanor with ability to exercise good judgement and discretion. NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years’ experience assisting within a human resource department.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities, and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter with strong quality control focus and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees across the organization and the public.
  • Attention to detail, dependability, and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Experience processing payroll.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish (speak, read, and write).
  • Previous experience using UKG, iCIMS, or Kronos timekeeping.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
