Job Overview: The HR Project Specialist is responsible for managing a wide range of HR projects in order to improve HR programs, and produce efficiency. This will include collaboration and coordination with the HR department management and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of Human Resources operation experience
  • Experience in Human Resources within manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Significant experience with process improvement strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine need for external project resources.
  • Assess current HR programs, identify areas for improvement, develop objectives and plans of action, direct implementation of action plans, and use wide latitude in decision-making.
  • Create a continuous improvement culture within HR, leading the team to identify processes for improvement and driving change in response to business requirements
  • Manage the annual performance and potential review process for the organization, instruct managers on their responsibilities
  • Function as subject matter expert for HR professionals as well as managers and specialists across the company to ensure success of HR programs, processes, and employee communication initiatives
  • Facilitate workshops on a variety of business and HR topics
  • Lead the management evaluation processes, ensuring clear communication and effective execution
  • Train managers and leaders across the business to improve communication strategies and channels across departments and between employees/management
  • Identify improvements on the workflow/processes and direct HR team to implement necessary changes
  • Lead assigned business processes & activities for HR operations
  • Partner with managers and specialists throughout the business to resolve more complex issues, ultimately reducing escalations ensuring compliance
  • Analyze and interpret business process issues and make recommendations to senior management and the wider HR team in relation to system updates and process improvements
  • Communicate new initiatives and changes to management, department heads, and executive board
  • Assign duties or responsibilities to project stakeholders, monitor performance, and provide feedback
  • Other duties as assigned
