About The Position

The Boeing Company’s, Customer Support - 777 Fleet Chief Office is currently seeking a ProjectManagement Specialist to join their team in Seal Beach, California. This selected candidate will work in a highly dynamic environment requiring cross functional/cross business unit coordination and collaboration to fulfill the listed primary responsibilities below. This role will support the Deputy Fleet Chief, Sr. Deputy Fleet Chief and Fleet Chief in leading and executing on fleet priorities, provide viable solutions and ensuring safe and economic operation of the 777 fleet. The position may require some travel to integrate with program leaders, customers, suppliers and other organizations. An Ideal candidate will be highly motivated and forward thinking, possess technical/project management acumen and have the desire and leadership ability to adapt quickly and operate in a changing environment. Able to jump out of your comfort zone, use out of the box thinking and techniques to meeting customer needs in a timely manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills with project management and integration experience. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with managing and organizing multiple deliverables and deadlines
  • Demonstrates qualities including flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and works well under pressure, systems thinking, organizational skills, curiosity, follow-through and attention to.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Degree or higher
  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with BORIS, Tableau, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and/or other Project Management tools.
  • Good understanding of industrial plans (i.e., aircraft retrofit/modification campaign)
  • Evaluate current BCA/BGS stocking plan at Boeing locations and make adjustments.
  • Ability to develop spares plan (quantity & location).

Responsibilities

  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
  • Provides oversight and project leadership (including performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives
  • Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements
  • Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans
  • Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
  • Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans
  • Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate
