About The Position

Plant Administrator reports to the Plant Manager and provides support to the Plant Manager and the Human Resource Manager. This position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility is required to work alternate shifts to effectively communicate with off-shift teams. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations by handling administrative tasks and helping to implement HR policies and programs, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. The pay range we are offering for this role is $28.00-32.00 dependent upon experience.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED required, associate’s degree in human resources preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking required
  • 2+ years of related experience to ensure understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures in a manufacturing, logistics or warehouse setting strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel, or similar software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in human resources
  • 2+ years of related experience to ensure understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures in a manufacturing, logistics or warehouse setting
  • Multilingual skills are a strong asset, with proficiency in French, Creole, and/or Spanish to effectively communicate within a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, such as preparing reports, maintaining files, handling communication, and assisting with HR projects.
  • Ensure that the location complies with labor laws and regulations and assist with audits and reporting related to the HR functions.
  • Help employees with their questions and issues related to workplace policies, employee concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with plant employee engagement and culture initiative.
  • Assist with payroll submission.
  • Assist with the hiring process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, submitting new employee background checks, and ensuring the smooth onboarding of new employees.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files
