About The Position

Serve as the Workday HCM functional lead, supporting configuration, testing, and implementation of business processes and system enhancements. Act as a primary HR contact for employees and managers, addressing HR-related questions and guiding them through key processes. Maintain employee data integrity in Workday and ensure HR records meet compliance, privacy, and regulatory standards. Create and update documentation such as user guides, process flows, and training materials related to HR systems and processes. Support onboarding, offer letter generation, orientation coordination, and other lifecycle tasks for new hires. Assist in resolving employee relations inquiries and provide operational support to HR Business Partners as needed. Lead HR process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for greater efficiency, automation, and standardization. Monitor system performance, research Workday releases, and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation. Collaborate with external HR vendors, assist with contract tracking, and ensure quality of vendor-delivered services. Provide reporting support and analysis on employee data, headcount trends, and process performance metrics. Lead direct report(s) through annual goal setting, growth planning, adherence to company policies, maintain training compliance and provide ongoing feedback on growth, development and areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of HR experience, with hands-on exposure to HR operations and systems; biotech/pharma experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Workday HCM is required, including configuration and business process support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across teams and functions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High degree of discretion when handling sensitive employee data and situations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience working with HR vendors and managing or supporting vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with employment regulations, data privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills to support decision-making and process enhancements.
