About The Position

Agile Robots is a global leader in industrial and humanoid robotics, integrating advanced machine learning and robotic vision to redefine the future of work. Headquartered in Munich with a global workforce of 2,500+, the company is establishing its North American footprint. This is a rare opportunity to join as a foundational member of the US team, shaping the culture and operations of their Silicon Valley Headquarters. As the first HR Operations Manager in the US, you will be part of the founding team, responsible for establishing and scaling HR operations, policies, and culture. You will act as a hands-on practitioner, ensuring people practices align with global standards while meeting local needs. This role requires a pragmatic, results-driven approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a HR Ops or generalist role, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of building HR functions from the ground up, including policy development, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Californian employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing payroll and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Availability to work on-site 4 days/week.
  • Flexibility to work at our site in Petaluma, CA once a week/ every second week (more if convenient for you).
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and programs tailored to the US market, ensuring alignment with global HR standards.
  • Build and scale HR infrastructure, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, from sourcing to onboarding, to attract top talent in the Bay Area and beyond.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process.
  • Implement talent development initiatives, including training, career pathing, and succession planning in alignment with our global standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture, acting as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership.
  • Address employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
  • Design and implement events, offsites, and community-building initiatives that reflect our innovative spirit engagement initiatives also enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with US employment laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes and best practices.
