About The Position

QXO is the fastest growing publicly traded distributor of building products in North America. The company is executing its strategy to become the tech-enabled leader in the $800 billion building products distribution industry and generate outsized value for its shareholders. QXO expects to achieve its target of $50 billion in annual revenues within the next decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to support QXO’s HR Operations and Technology initiatives. This role will lead strategic programs and critical business-as-usual (BAU) efforts that keep the organization running effectively. The Program Manager will drive planning, execution, and governance across a portfolio of programs, typically managing one to two concurrent initiatives at a time. This individual will operate within the HR Operations & Technology PMO, coordinating closely with cross-functional stakeholders across HR, IT, HRIS, and Finance to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at balancing structure with adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in program or project management within HR, technology, or operations functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional programs with structured methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile hybrid).
  • Strong proficiency in program management tools (monday.com, Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of key BAU initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and dependency maps using tools such as monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Facilitate program planning sessions, define objectives and success criteria, and track progress against deliverables.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks, issues, and interdependencies across workstreams.
  • Ensure documentation, communication, and change management practices are consistent across initiatives.
  • Uphold and evolve PMO governance standards, ensuring programs adhere to defined frameworks and reporting protocols.
  • Maintain dashboards and performance tracking to ensure visibility into program health, progress, and key decisions.
  • Support process improvement and operational excellence initiatives that strengthen HR Operations efficiency and service delivery.
  • Drive accountability through recurring program reviews, steering committee updates, and action tracking.
  • Partner closely with HR functional leads, HRIS, IT, and Finance to align program outcomes with organizational goals.
  • Work collaboratively with product owners and business process owners within HR Centers of Excellence to ensure solutions meet functional and operational needs.
  • Act as a connector between strategy and execution, ensuring priorities remain visible, achievable, and integrated across teams.
  • Communicate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams to provide clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
