About The Position

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, this internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the HR Operations team across a variety of HR functions. You'll gain real-world experience in HR systems, project coordination, and day-to-day HR operations — all within a fast-paced corporate environment. We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented student or recent graduate who is eager to learn, comfortable working independently, and excited to contribute to meaningful HR initiatives alongside experienced HR professionals.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented and dependable, with a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a team-oriented environment.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with an openness to feedback and professional growth.
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or related area strongly preferred.
  • Junior or Senior in college.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Performs office-based physical tasks including sitting for long periods of time, typing, and computer use; occasionally pushes/pulls, twists, bends, and lifts up to 20 lbs. to support event setup and general operations.
  • Reliable, insured transportation required.
  • Must be able to fulfill all physical demands of the position on-site.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA and able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with HR systems, project coordination tools, or software testing is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic software testing (UAT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research, evaluation, and documentation of software enhancements and system improvements.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for HR system updates, including documenting test cases, logging defects, and tracking resolution.
  • Help gather and organize business requirements for HR technology projects.
  • Support the maintenance of project plans, timelines, and milestone trackers for HR system implementations and other HR initiatives.
  • Help organize project documentation, meeting notes, action items, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively communicate updates or risks to project leads.
  • Help develop/refine communication materials, user guides and training content.
  • Support the team in building clear, organized presentations.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks such as reporting, data entry, records maintenance, events, employee recognition programs, and wellness activities.
  • Review digital HR records to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand, adhere to, and enforce all corporate policies including, but not limited to, Purpose Financial's Code of Ethics and Information Security Policies.
