About The Position

This is a hands-on HR Operations role responsible for managing day-to-day HR activities, including maintaining accurate HRIS data, employee records, and processing employee life-cycle events. The HR Operations Generalist will support HR compliance by maintaining the employee handbook, generating compliance reports, and assisting with payroll and leave processes. Working closely with HR leaders and HRBPs, this critical role ensures HR operations remain efficient, accurate, and compliant.

Requirements

  • This position is Remote.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Communications, or commensurate experience is Required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working as a Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Specialist is Required.
  • Prior HRIS experience such as Workday, etc. is Required.
  • Requires proficient skills in using Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR leadership and HRBPs to communicate and administer various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations for all employees.
  • Manage a variety of recurring HR Operations tasks focused on HR compliance, the employee life cycle, and HRIS data accuracy.
  • Own and manage the administration of employee lifecycle events (hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, terminations), including effective dating and organizational structure alignment (job, cost center, hierarchy).
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including policy acknowledgments, I-9s, new hire reporting, access removal, and asset return to ensure compliance and a seamless employee experience.
  • Maintain and audit electronic personnel files and lifecycle documentation; complete employment verifications, unemployment requests, and tuition reimbursements while resolving data discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Own HRIS data governance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, reporting, and audit readiness across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute HR Operations metrics to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive process improvements.
  • Support and Partner with Connexus leadership, Subject Matter Experts, and legal counsel on Employee Handbook, including researching employment law, recommending changes, and coordinating annual processes, including employee acknowledgments. (Wage and hour, anti-discrimination, employee safety standards, etc.).
  • Manage and submit required HR compliance reporting for the organization by deadline, i.e., Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Benefits, etc.
  • Oversee and update annual employment posters (physical and web-based).
  • Oversee annual NMLS renewal, audit, and documentation, and manage day-to-day NMLS processes.
  • Oversee HR vendor management and third-party risk processes.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for the HR Operations team to ensure we have current and up-to-date information on our processes and address gaps and risks.
  • Maintain HR Operations Microsoft SharePoint pages and department communications and partner with other HR SME’s to ensure consistency and engaging employee experience.
  • Assist the Payroll Analyst with bi-weekly payroll processing tasks and be a fully functional payroll backup.
  • Serve as fully functional back up for leave of absence, accommodations, time, and attendance; Assist with Leave of absence and attend employee LOA meetings when necessary.
  • Assist the HR leadership team by recommending new strategies and approaches to support the organization's success and completing special projects as requested.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the human resources management team, including mail distribution and coordination of team meetings for Total Rewards & HR Operations team and larger HR department as needed.
  • Comply with all Federal Regulations pertaining to your job duties, including BSA.
