About The Position

High Spirits Hospitality is seeking an HR & Office Assistant to support its various businesses by maintaining accurate and organized HR and financial records. This role is crucial for keeping accounting systems clean through tasks like transaction entry, receipt tracking, bill entry, deposits, reconciliations, and managing vendor and customer records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, tech-savvy, and capable of managing multiple businesses simultaneously. This is a full-time, in-person position primarily during business hours, with potential for slightly flexible scheduling and occasional evening/weekend adjustments to support events.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a relevant role, specifically in hospitality, human resources, or office administration.
  • Ability to lead with respect and inclusivity, supporting clients of all backgrounds.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and other technology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and ready to tackle challenges with creative problem-solving.
  • Professional and confident presentation.
  • Flexibility to work frequent evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for daily travel.
  • Cell phone with voice, text, and data capabilities available for work use.
  • Ability to perform essential functions, including standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
  • A college degree is not required—we care more about your experience and attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely coordination of background checks, new-hire paperwork, onboarding records, and required acknowledgments.
  • Scheduling interviews and managing shared HR and office inboxes.
  • Maintaining confidential files and tracking important documents.
  • Providing reliable administrative support for HR and finance workflows, including data entry, record organization, and follow-up.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping tasks such as transaction entry and coding, receipt and invoice matching, and AP/AR support.
  • Maintaining vendor and customer records and assisting with financial filing.
  • Providing general office administration, including filing, supply coordination, and meeting support.
  • Running errands, including bank and post office runs.
  • Supporting business and government licensing and registration tasks.
  • Periodically working events in a support capacity.
  • Representing High Spirits Hospitality professionally and reflecting brand values.
  • Communicating professionally with clients, guests, teammates, vendors, and partners.
  • Handling concerns with professionalism and timely escalation.
  • Supporting a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment.
  • Being dependable, solutions-focused, and adaptable.
  • Using company technology and systems consistently and responsibly.
  • Submitting digital documents, reports, and receipts accurately and on time.
  • Attending required meetings, trainings, and check-ins.
  • Staying informed about company offerings, policies, and standards.
  • Handling company, client, and employee information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Following all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company procedures.
  • Using company property and equipment responsibly.
  • Supporting alcohol service or alcohol-related event duties as needed.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Performing other duties and support as needed based on business needs.
