About The Position

BearingPoint is a global consulting firm with over 6,000 employees worldwide, operating across three legal entities in the U.S.: BearingPoint U.S. INC, BearingPoint NA LLC, and Arcwide. Due to increasing complexity, HR functions are being split into HR Strategic Leadership and HR Tactical/Employee Facing Activities. This role is for the HR Strategic Leadership position, supporting all three BearingPoint entities in the U.S. The position requires managing vendor relationships, legal activities, regulatory compliance, due diligence for acquisitions, and serving as the U.S. representative for the global HR community. It also involves mentoring HR staff, analyzing employee feedback, leading compensation planning, coordinating training, and supporting recruitment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in professional services or consulting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented work habits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of U.S. colleagues.
  • Knowledgeable about federal, state, and local HR regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Experience overseeing a 3rd party for payroll and benefits and leading the evaluation of new service providers.
  • Experience driving culture change in growing environments and creating employee-related KPIs to monitor team sentiment.
  • Interest in working in an international environment.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to travel quarterly to Chicago, NY, and any future BearingPoint offices, as well as 1-2 trips per year to Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the relationship with Sequoia, the vendor for payroll and benefits, including acting as the main point of contact, troubleshooting issues, monitoring service levels, and evaluating provider contracts.
  • Working with external legal firms to handle immigration-related activities for employees.
  • Collaborating with internal firmwide HR on legal issues related to HR.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulatory requirements and managing mandatory reporting.
  • Managing the HR regulatory compliance impact of expanding into new states or cities.
  • Overseeing HR-related due diligence for acquisition candidates and onboarding new companies and their employees.
  • Serving as the U.S. representative to the BearingPoint global HR community, ensuring adherence to firmwide policies and processes.
  • Mentoring HR staff assigned to each entity, providing coaching, ensuring compliance, and helping resolve conflicts.
  • Reviewing trends from WinningTemp, Exit Interviews, and general U.S. culture with entity HR staff, providing coaching, and serving as an escalation point.
  • Leading the annual compensation planning activity with each entity, providing guidelines, and ensuring alignment with company policy.
  • Identifying training requirements driven by regulatory compliance and ensuring staff completion.
  • Coordinating the selection of staff for firmwide trainings and managing U.S. resource allocation.
  • Serving as an escalation point for HR-related issues for employees in all U.S. entities.
  • Supporting recruitment processes for required positions, including working with recruiting firms and independent candidates.
