The Human Resources Department plays a critical role in advancing this mission by supporting a skilled and dedicated workforce. Within HR, the Resource Fulfillment Division is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle. This includes ensuring compliance with Civil Service rules, reviewing job postings and candidate applications, maintaining eligible lists, tracking vacancies through NYCAPS, and coordinating candidate outreach and onboarding. We are seeking a highly capable Manager of the Classification and Qualification Unit for the Employment area of the Resource Fulfillment Division, to administer classification policy and procedure to ensure positions are properly classified; and to assess the qualifications of candidates for positions vis-à-vis the prescribed minimum qualification requirements. In so doing, this position will manage both the Classification and Qualification teams and guide members of the Employment team in maintaining supervisory structures and organizations. Under the direction of the Deputy Director of the HR Civil Service Unit, with focused authority for independent judgment and decision-making, the Manager of the Classification and Qualification Unit will carry out a variety of duties, including but not limited to the following:
