About The Position

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships! As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the Executive Office and Human Resources team with day-to-day HR operations while also assisting with recruitment-related social media and communications efforts. You will work closely with the Director of Human Resources and HR team to help share open roles, internship opportunities, and company culture across internal and external channels. This internship offers hands-on exposure to HR operations, onboarding, recruiting support, and employer branding, providing a well-rounded experience in a corporate HR environment. This position is onsite and based out of our headquarters in Irving, Texas.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum Junior status at the time of internship.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources, recruiting, and employer branding.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn preferred); interest in recruitment marketing is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Professional work ethic with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Outlook and Teams is a plus.
  • Ability to commit to a 10-week onsite internship (June–August).
  • Must reside in the Dallas, TX area during the internship and work onsite in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources (HR) Intern provides valuable support in carrying out day-to-day HR activities in the corporate office.
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the HR department.
  • Create new hire files and assist with auditing employee records.
  • Support corporate office event planning and execution.
  • Assist with monitoring and responding to the HH HR Inbox related to HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare new hire welcome materials, including gift bags and cubicle/office setup.
  • Input and maintain updates in the department’s internal HR systems and databases.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts by using social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, to share open positions and internship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure social media content reflects the company’s values, culture, and employer brand.
