The Human Resources Intern will participate in a structured rotational program designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources. This internship offers practical exposure to recruitment, employee relations, physician recruitment, onboarding, and generalist HR functions. The HR Intern will ensure excellent HR assistance and support for internal and external customers while contributing to efficient HR department operations. Through guided rotations, the intern will develop a comprehensive understanding of HR processes within a healthcare environment. Rotational Areas & Responsibilities: Recruitment (2-3 Weeks) Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards and internal systems Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with candidates and hiring managers Send and review video interviews Support recruitment tracking and reporting Participate in intake meetings and observe candidate screening processes Employee Relations (2-3 Weeks) Shadow HR leadership on employee relations matters Assist with documentation and tracking of employee concerns Support preparation of materials for investigations and follow-up actions Learn and assist with policy interpretation and application Physician Recruitment (2-3 Weeks) Assist with coordination of physician candidate interviews and site visits Support communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process Help track recruitment activity and maintain recruitment files Gain exposure to contract and onboarding coordination processes specific to providers Onboarding & HR Operations (2-3 Weeks) Assist with new hire onboarding processes, including orientation preparation Ensure accurate completion and filing of new hire documentation Coordinate pre-employment requirements and onboarding checklists Support new employee engagement initiatives HR Generalist & Administrative Functions (Ongoing Throughout Internship) Accurately scan and file documents into electronic HR records Assist with HRIS projects and data integrity initiatives Transition agency and legacy files to electronic records Support compensation and benefits documentation processes Provide quality HR support and service to HR managers and their areas of responsibility Assist with reporting, tracking metrics, and special HR projects Learning Objectives: By the end of the internship, the HR Intern will: Understand the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through employee relations Gain exposure to physician/provider recruitment processes Develop foundational HR administrative and generalist skills Strengthen professional communication and organizational skills Build working knowledge of HR compliance and documentation standards
