About The Position

The Recruiting Intern will support the HR team with day-to-day recruiting activities, candidate coordination, and talent acquisition operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to sourcing strategies, applicant tracking systems, interview scheduling, and data-driven hiring processes. The intern will work closely with recruiters and hiring managers while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to interact effectively with candidates, employees, and hiring managers at all levels
  • Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR within a manufacturing environment
  • Must live within 50 mile radius
  • Must be able to be in office at least 3 out of 5 days of the work week.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of HR principles and employment practices preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR systems is a plus
  • Previous internship, campus involvement, or work experience in a professional setting preferred
  • Advanced Excel, BI, Microsoft applications
  • Preferred candidates will be individuals who can work on their feet for extended periods, are willing to work overtime and weekends as needed, and are adaptable to a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards
  • Screen resumes and applications for hourly positions
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Communicate with candidates regarding application status and next steps
  • Support sourcing efforts through job boards and career fairs
  • Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Help track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and applicant flow
  • Assist with onboarding preparation, including pre-employment documentation and new hire communication
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process
  • Support employer branding initiatives and recruiting events
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations throughout the hiring process
