About The Position

Known for excelling at the challenging stuff, meeting our deadlines, and doing more than expected, PMC is seeking a HR Generalist (Workforce Relations Manager) to support our employees and strengthen our growing team. This is a hands-on, highly visible role ideal for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being in the day-to-day of a construction company—building relationships, solving problems, and helping people grow.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR, People Operations, or employee relations experience.
  • Proven stability and longevity in prior roles.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and safety practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with both field and office teams.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred).
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or skilled trades experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting efforts and manage the employee lifecycle from hire through exit.
  • Conduct interviews, extend offers, and coordinate onboarding through BambooHR.
  • Maintain job descriptions, employee files, and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate annual performance reviews and partner with supervisors on employee development.
  • Participate in local networking and industry events to support hiring efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees across the organization.
  • Support employee recognition, engagement, and team-building initiatives.
  • Conduct engagement surveys and help implement feedback-driven improvements.
  • Reinforce company culture and core values in daily interactions.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation and vehicle claims, modified duty, and incident documentation.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and workplace concerns.
  • Maintain company policies, safety manuals, and required training programs.
  • Track licenses, certifications, and required renewals.
  • Support fleet management activities for company vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments, tracking, and documentation.
  • Assist with insurance reporting, vehicle claims, and accident documentation.
  • Track registrations, inspections, maintenance schedules, and renewals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with our outsourced IT provider.
  • Coordinate workstation setup, system access, and equipment for new hires.
  • Maintain inventory of company laptops, phones, and technology assets.
