We are seeking an HR Generalist (Human Resource Analyst 2) to join our Human Resources Team at the Oregon Department of Education. This position follows a hybrid work model. Onsite presence will be required when business or operational needs are best supported in person, such as collaboration, training, or work that requires access to onsite resources. What You Will Do! The primary purpose of this position is to support several key program areas within the Human Resources team, including the day-to-day management of federal and state leave programs, agency classification and position management, training and development, and employee relations. The position provides consultation and technical assistance to agency managers, supervisors, and bargaining unit employees on matters related to classification, compensation, and protected leave, while also monitoring and evaluating HR data to support operational strategies. Typical duties include reviewing and administering employee leave requests, supporting ADA accommodations and return-to-work efforts, conducting position and classification reviews, assisting with employee relations matters, supporting agency training initiatives, and contributing to wellness and compliance programs.
