About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist will be based in Austin, TX, reporting to the Director of Human Resources. This role is an addition to our growing business. Hours are 3pm to 11pm. The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing HR programs and providing support to business clients with respect to all people issues in order to support the growth and profitability of the business.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in education and experience in a Human Resource related function.
  • Typically requires 3- 5 years of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Demonstrates advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned HR functions.
  • Demonstrates advanced /thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
  • Responds to customer complaints, employee issues and regulatory agency inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes with managers on HR strategies and actions such as identifying current and future talent needs, recruiting methodologies to find diverse talent, and talent development.
  • Advises site management regarding talent matters to drive outcomes that support business goals, i.e., employee engagement, workforce planning, data trends and potential actions, employee policies and program matters.
  • Assesses management capabilities and business development opportunities.
  • Provides feedback and mentors managers.
  • Guides Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion activities with heads and employees, creating a safe environment that supports diversity and provides a safe environment to our diversity workforce.
  • Participates as an agile member on site and corporate projects, teams, and process improvement.
  • Supports Flex Culture and our Ways of Working and Business Expertise.
  • Provides managers with guidance on change management regarding culture.
  • Serves as a consultant to hiring managers on current trends in human resources management, labor laws, HR policies, etc. to reach appropriate outcomes.
  • Manages the employee life cycle activities with managers and employees, including onboarding, new employee orientation, annual reflection, merit, separation process and exits, etc.
  • Develops local recruitment programs and budgets.
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts and coordinates and participates in job fairs, schools and organizations regarding the organization and opportunities.
  • Counsels management on policy interpretation and legal awareness.
  • Advises and investigates violations of our policies and local labor laws.
  • Helps reach appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Crafts programs to improve employee satisfaction and retention of critical skill employees, while minimizing company exposure to liability.
  • Prepares the research, maintenance and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Partners with Total Rewards in compensation and benefit programs.
  • Administers local benefit programs, ensuring compliance with government regulations and reporting.
  • Supports HR Centers of Excellence on global initiatives at the local level.
  • Communicates and educates employees and is the head on programs benefiting the site.
  • Helps craft the programs by participating in program design activities and postmortem reviews.
  • Participates and/or manages employee Sustainability initiatives and events and helps local sustainability events.
