Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ Human Resource Management experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required

Nice To Haves

  • Post Secondary Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience, considered an asset
  • Experience in the insurance industry, considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Planning and conducting new employee onboarding and orientation to foster positive attitudes and set new hires up for the best possible success
  • Assisting in administering employee offboarding process
  • Maintaining current and historical human resource records through established filing and retrieval system
  • Monitoring and tracking staff Vacation, Sick, and Flex workdays
  • Representing the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Facilitating and administering the salary review and bonus process
  • Maintaining work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • Serving on employee health and safety programs & committees, ensuring workplace health and safety compliance
  • Monitoring and files monthly Timesheets for applicable staff
  • Carrying out other necessary HR administrative duties, as required
  • Assisting in performance development system to track and drive high employee performance, scheduling and facilitating staff performance evaluations; ensuring that reviews are consistently completed in a timely manner; inputting performance development goals into the corporate Objectives & Key Results (OKR) tracker; and making recommendations as required
  • Facilitating discipline and performance management of employees in accordance with company policy and employment standards regulations
  • Facilitating workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations, as needed
  • Supporting managers in identifying and addressing employee performance issues.
  • Acting as liaison between staff and management when issues arise requiring attention, managing employee relations; conducting conflict management and resolution through positive and professional mediation; and providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues
  • Conducting employee surveys and analyzing results to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure development opportunities, engagement, motivation, and preservation of Axis team members
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and communication.
  • Assisting with the talent management process as it pertains to recruitment and selection, including posting job listings, scheduling recruitment meetings and interviews, performing candidate screening, facilitating candidate assessments, and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
