About The Position

Position Summary The HR Generalist supports Human Resources operations and serves as a key partner to production leaders and employees. This role is responsible for executing core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, and compliance with labor laws and plant policies. This position reports directly to the HR Manager. Serve as a support HR contact for plant employees and supervisors regarding workplace issues, policies, and procedures Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, including attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace complaints Coach supervisors on effective employee management, corrective action, and documentation Support grievance processes where applicable (union environments) Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting activities, including job postings, interviews, and selection Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and staffing plans Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of onboarding requirements Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility documentation Compliance & HR Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO) Administer leave of absence processes, including FMLA, military leave, and personal leaves Maintain HRIS data accuracy, personnel files, and reporting Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required
