The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Director to support the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Talent Management, Credentialing Support, New Manager Training, Career Pathway Development, Student Relations, and retention programs. Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years experience in human resources

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar degree preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, CHRM-CSP, CHR, or CHHR preferred
  • customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the Employee Relations process which may include investigations and employee and manager coaching
  • Assist in New Manager Training and the development of materials for training session
  • Handles employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and employee recognition programs, employee incentive programs
  • Assist in administration of the student scholarships and awards programs, tuition reimbursement and assist in developing Career Pathways with local and regional colleges and universities as well as local, state and national grant sources
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains compliance with federal & state employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
