As an HR Generalist, you'll be a trusted resource for employees and managers, helping to support every stage of the employee lifecycle while ensuring our practices remain compliant, organized, and employee-focused. From onboarding new hires to supporting managers, maintaining HR processes, and navigating California employment requirements, you'll play an important role in helping our people and business succeed. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and finding smarter ways to work. The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable in California employment practices, comfortable leveraging HR technology, and passionate about creating efficient and scalable solutions. This role serves as a central HR resource for the organization, partnering closely with employees, leaders, and the HR team to deliver exceptional service and continuously enhance the employee experience. Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SHRM or PHR certificate
  • Must be 18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR policies, programs, benefits, leave administration, payroll processes, and employment practices.
  • Provide timely, accurate guidance and support while escalating complex employee relations matters when appropriate.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in all employee interactions.
  • Create and maintain HR resources, guides, communications, and training materials that improve employee self-service and manager effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with California employment laws and company policies, including wage and hour requirements, leaves of absence, accommodations, pay transparency, and employee recordkeeping.
  • Support policy development, compliance audits, investigations, and performance management.
  • Administer workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and related employee programs.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support and at time administer key employee lifecycle processes, including recruiting, onboarding, job changes, performance management, promotions, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
  • Partner with managers to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience from hire to separation.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, career development, and talent initiatives.
  • Assist in workforce planning and organizational activities that support business growth and employee success.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR systems, employee data management, reporting, and HR workflows.
  • Leverage HR technology to improve efficiency, automate processes, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data, organizational structures, job profiles, and HR reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports that provide actionable workforce insights.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve the effectiveness of HR programs and services.
  • Lead and support HR projects focused on continuous improvement, system optimization, and operational excellence.
