The Job: Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing is seeking a Human Resources Generalist that coordinates and supervises the daily activities and sets priorities for the HR team. The HR Generalist position is a key member of the Human Resources team, with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in HR disciplines. Primarily supports the day-to-day HR activities through active leadership and communication, leads the payroll process and point system, advises on HR policies and procedures, and addresses moderately complex HR inquiries. Knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources, employment, employee policies and procedures, employee records, leave of absences, benefits, compensation, worker’s comp, payroll, and employee relations. Coordinates, updates and delivers the new hire orientation program. Processes employee status changes such as promotions, salary adjustments, new hires and terminations. Assists with the preparation and completion of the annual Affirmative Action Plan. Advises Managers, Supervisors and leads of policies and procedures, various state and federal regulations, salary-related issues and effective human resources practices about employee issues. Investigates charges of alleged discrimination based on race, sex, age, religion, national origin, and physical/mental disabilities. Handles employee relations and provides feedback to employees and the leadership team. Initiates and coordinates various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale. Will need to work weekend hours to ensure all timecards and corrections are completed to limit any misses with hourly staff Other duties as assigned by Manager of Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Discrete, flexible and cooperative.
  • Ability to update data in Human Resources Information Systems in conjunction with Shared Services.
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • HR experience at a large global corporation includes partnering with an HR Shared Services function.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
