About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of human resources functions, including maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will orient new employees, process changes in employee status, and provide support to employees regarding payroll and benefits. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Employment Laws, Labor Laws, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Effective information sharing and abilities to work with other departments.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people and quickly establish a rapport.
  • Multiple priority management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in the HR Field
  • Bilingual (Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Korean is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases, and tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
  • Calculate pay, distribute checks, and maintain payroll records.
  • Orient new employees by providing orientation information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, and explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs.
  • Document human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Record new or changed pay rates in payroll files.
  • Ensure timecards are complete and signed off by employees and supervisors.
  • Answer payroll questions and provide support to associates by resolving individual payroll issues and conveying information.
  • Provide wage statements as necessary.
  • Maintain benefit information, files, and records to provide an up-to-date reference.
  • Manage benefit plans.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
