Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of HR functions including CA State Hiring Laws, Onboarding, HR Compliance, Employee Relations, FMLA, ADA
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, and provide actionable insights
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and practical support to leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and performance improvement plans
  • Partner with managers to facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Manage the pre‑onboarding workflow, ensuring timely completion of background checks, file setup, compliance forms, and new hire communication
  • Work closely with Recruitment to ensure seamless handoffs from candidate selection to Day 1 readiness
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, policies, and HR processes with clarity, accuracy, and empathy
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to support business decisions, reporting, and compliance
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Support ADA interactive process, coordinating accommodation requests, documentation, and follow‑through with employees and leaders
  • Support annual HR initiatives such as performance reviews, merit cycles, and engagement activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
