About The Position

The HR Generalist is responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of core people processes across the employee lifecycle. This role focuses on traditional HR Generalist work including onboarding and transitions, performance management support, HR operations, compliance documentation, and program coordination. The HR Generalist operates with a high degree of independence, partners closely with HR leadership, and applies strong judgment, organization, and systems thinking to ensure HR processes are clear, scalable, and effective. The role also leverages modern tools, including AI, to improve efficiency, documentation, and insight across HR workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role
  • Hands-on responsibility for onboarding, performance management processes, and HR documentation.
  • Experience working in HR systems (Rippling preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HR lifecycle processes and performance management cycles
  • High attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve HR workflows, documentation, or reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple HR processes simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle sensitive information with discretion, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and follow through without close supervision.
  • Ability to learn and navigate HR systems and tools quickly and confidently.
  • Ability to translate processes, policies, and timelines into clear guidance for employees and managers.
  • Ability to identify process gaps or inefficiencies and propose practical, workable improvements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain organized in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR leadership and cross‑functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Execute onboarding, job changes, and offboarding processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain employee records, documentation, and data across HR systems.
  • Support recurring HR processes and operational deadlines with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Support performance management cycles end-to-end, including timelines, communications, tool administration, and completion tracking.
  • Prepare materials and coordination for calibration discussions, including data pulls, tracking, and documentation.
  • Maintain and improve templates, guidance, and documentation that support consistent, high-quality performance conversations.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, or recurring issues within HR processes and recommend practical improvements.
  • Own updates to HR playbooks, standard operating procedures, templates, and checklists.
  • Lead or support small-to-medium HR improvement initiatives focused on clarity, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Confidently execute day-to-day HR work within Rippling and related tools.
  • Run routine HR reporting and support data audits as needed.
  • Ensure HR data accuracy and consistency to support effective decision-making.
  • Use AI tools to improve HR documentation, communications drafts, templates, and process clarity.
  • Build or maintain lightweight self-service resources to reduce confusion and repeat questions.
  • Identify responsible opportunities to automate low-risk administrative work and improve HR efficiency.
  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of firmwide culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with HR leadership to coordinate engagement programs, employee communications, and people‑related rhythms that reinforce company values.
  • Use employee data, feedback, and insights to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and connection across the organization.
  • Leverage tools and AI‑enabled resources to improve clarity, consistency, and accessibility of culture and engagement materials.
  • Support compliance with employment laws and internal policies through accurate execution and documentation.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and internal process checks.
  • Contribute to a well-run, dependable HR function through consistent execution and continuous improvement.
