About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR activities for their assigned customer groups, including administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs with responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, leave of absence and worker’s compensation, and talent acquisition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field is strongly preferred. In lieu of degree, 4 years minimum experience in a HR Generalist, Recruiting or related role.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the HR field.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and participates in the candidate selection process, including applicant tracking, recruiting, interviewing, new hire orientations and onboarding; extends job offers, creates offer letters and facilitates pre-employment testing and background checks for new hires; facilitates on-boarding classes.
  • Investigates routine employee relations issues and works with employees and supervisors to resolve issues; prepares recommendations to upper management concerning human resource issues and concerns; works with leaders and HR Managers to draft and review coaching and corrective action documents and employee evaluations; escalates more serious or complex issues to Human Resources Manager or Director as needed.
  • Builds relationships with employees at all levels in the organization; spends time with leaders and employees in their work environment by walking the floor, in-person attendance at meetings, Town Halls and engagement events.
  • Maintains personnel files and data in HRIS in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Administers HR policies, practices, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
