About The Position

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in Human Resources, Personnel, or Public Administration.
  • Solid understanding of basic HR practices and legal regulations, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Civil Rights Act.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows-based software applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding employee information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Consulting: Serve as the first point of contact for HR issues, ensuring all employment decisions are policy-compliant and legally grounded.
  • Lifecycle Recruitment: Manage job postings, review applicant data, coordinate background screenings, and facilitate regular new employee orientations.
  • Benefits & Leave Management: Oversee annual open enrollment, process benefit applications, and manage FMLA or other leave of absence requests.
  • Claims Coordination: Administer and report workers' compensation and unemployment claims while serving as a liaison with insurance providers and state agencies.
  • Records & Compliance: Maintain precise personnel files and HRIS data in strict accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Status Processing: Execute all changes regarding employee status, compensation, and work assignments.
