About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to support the HR department in overseeing human resources operations at our McDonough clinic and across our California clinics. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, supporting clinical staffing, and maintaining high HR standards within the behavioral healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in healthcare HR, a working knowledge of ABA therapy operations, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with remote leadership.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Experience managing HR functions in a part-time, independent capacity
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare payroll and compliance
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (healthcare-specific platforms preferred)
  • Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and state licensing requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Ability to work independently and maintain consistent communication with corporate leadership

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
  • Experience in behavioral health, autism services, or pediatric healthcare
  • Background in single-site healthcare or clinic operations
  • Knowledge of ABA therapy and roles such as RBTs and BCBAs
  • Experience with credentialing and professional licensing verification

Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding for clinical and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and California and Geargia state licensing
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to performance, policy violations, and employee complaints
  • Provide on-site support for employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
  • Maintain thorough documentation for investigations, disciplinary actions, and compliance
  • Support hiring efforts for BCBAs, RBTs, and administrative staff
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess staffing needs and skill gaps
  • Build partnerships with universities, certification programs, and industry networks
  • Coordinate credentialing, background checks, and licensing verifications
  • Serve as a backup payroll administrator to ensure accuracy and continuity
  • Manage payroll processes involving hourly, salaried, and productivity-based compensation
  • Administer benefits with a focus on healthcare industry standards and competitiveness
  • Ensure compliance with California/Georgia labor laws and payroll regulations
  • Coordinate onboarding tailored to clinical roles and regulatory requirements
  • Track continuing education and licensure compliance for professional staff
  • Support professional development initiatives and internal training programs
  • Facilitate training on HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Assist in enforcing HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee files in compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards
  • Support clinical quality assurance through proper documentation and HR process management
  • Organize and maintain investigation and disciplinary documentation
