About The Position

Safe-Way Garage Door, LLC is a growing manufacturing organization committed to safety, compliance, and employee engagement. Our Human Resources team plays an active, visible role in supporting a diverse workforce, including a significant Spanish-speaking employee population. We are seeking an HR Generalist who is comfortable communicating policies, training, and safety expectations fluently in both English and Spanish in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role s ON SITE Monday-Friday The Role The Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual – Spanish Required) supports day-to-day HR operations at our Warsaw manufacturing facility while partnering across multiple states. This role serves as a key HR and safety resource for both English- and Spanish-speaking employees, working closely with leadership and frontline teams to ensure clear communication, compliance, and engagement. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and requires regular, on-the-floor interaction with employees.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish – required
  • 3+ years of human resources experience in a coordinator or generalist role
  • Experience supporting HR operations in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies clearly to diverse audiences
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience supporting OSHA compliance, safety programs, or workers’ compensation

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and partner with hiring managers to select qualified candidates
  • Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires, delivering content as needed
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and policy interpretation employees and supervisors.
  • Administer employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions in both languages
  • Support payroll administration by maintaining accurate records for time, pay, PTO, and deductions
  • Manage employee leave programs, including medical, personal, and FMLA
  • Assist with employee relations matters, discipline, and terminations under the direction of HR leadership
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee records
  • Track and report turnover, retention, and engagement metrics
  • Act as a safety resource , clearly communicating safety policies, expectations, and training
  • Coordinate OSHA compliance activities, including recordkeeping, postings, audits, and inspections
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, including injury reporting, investigations, and follow-up
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are communicated and implemented
  • Coordinate and track safety training, including: New hire safety orientation PPE requirements Emergency procedures Hazard communication Equipment and general workplace safety
  • Partner with leadership to consistently enforce safety and health policies
  • Support safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives
