About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key operational partner to the Human Resources team and business leaders by administering a broad range of Human Resources functions, including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HR systems administration, compliance, reporting, employee relations support, engagement initiatives, and HR program coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient HR operations, delivering a positive employee experience, maintaining accurate employee records, supporting compliance requirements, and assisting with the execution of strategic HR initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Human Resources, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and confidentiality standards preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree may be considered for entry-level candidates with demonstrated interest in Human Resources.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and other HR-related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Human Resources programs, policies, procedures, and employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the Human Resources shared mailbox and respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process employment verifications, status changes, and employee data updates.
  • Prepare, track, and maintain consulting agreements and related documentation.
  • Create and maintain HR reports and metrics, including staffing reports, termination reports, new hire reporting, overtime reporting, zero-hours reporting, and other workforce analytics.
  • Prepare HR presentations, dashboards, and departmental meeting materials, including monthly new hire and termination statistics.
  • Maintain organizational charts and departmental records.
  • Coordinate monthly phone stipend audits and related reporting.
  • Support annual HR communications, policy updates, onboarding resources, payroll schedules, holiday schedules, and other year-end HR initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the full onboarding process for part-time and full-time team members.
  • Schedule and prepare onboarding sessions, including room setup, technology coordination, orientation materials, and equipment requests.
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate welcome presentations.
  • Coordinate introductions and meet-and-greet sessions between new hires and department leaders.
  • Process employee badge requests and maintain badge-related data within HR systems.
  • Enter and maintain employee information within Dayforce and other HR platforms.
  • Audit onboarding documentation and employee personnel files for completeness and compliance.
  • Generate, monitor, and track Form I-9 Section 1 completion, follow-up reminders, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor completion of required training courses and send follow-up reminders as needed.
  • Maintain onboarding resources, welcome packets, orientation materials, and related documentation.
  • Maintain employee data within Dayforce and ensure data integrity.
  • Create new job titles and coordinate with Payroll and Finance for system configuration and general ledger alignment.
  • Support workforce management processes, including role assignments and security access administration.
  • Manage bi-weekly HR system feeds and related data transfers.
  • Support document migration and electronic employee file management projects.
  • Process employee separations and terminations within HR systems.
  • Prepare and distribute separation and end-of-employment documentation.
  • Coordinate exit interview processes (part-time and full-time as requested) and maintain exit data reporting.
  • Manage employee equipment return tracking and separation checklists.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly audits related to active and terminated employee records.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly HireRight processing, including I-9 audits and termination batch uploads.
  • Conduct HR compliance audits, reporting, including personnel file reviews, I-9 audits, onboarding file audits, and HR field audits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee documentation and records retention practices.
  • Monitor and support completion of regulatory and compliance-related requirements.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, communication, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and executing employee events, wellness programs, celebrations, and engagement activities.
  • Manage the employee idea generation program, including quarterly communications, tracking submissions, and program recognition.
  • Draft and distribute internal HR communications, including employee announcements, holiday communications, and employee engagement campaigns.
  • Assist with administration of employee discount, recognition, and employee experience programs.
  • Assist with hourly performance review administration and tracking.
  • Prepare supporting documentation, employee records reviews, corrective action audits, and related reporting for performance management activities.
  • Coordinate reminders and follow-up communications regarding performance evaluation deadlines and requirements.
  • Support employee check-in programs for part-time employees, including 30-day and 90-day follow-up initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate recurring HR operational meetings, including preparation of agendas, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Manage visitor access systems and HR-related portal administration.
  • Support Human Resources leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts designed to enhance HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
