About The Position

Voltage is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong payroll focus to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and compliant multi-state payroll processing while supporting key HR functions including benefits, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of HR experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on payroll administration experience.
  • Multi-state payroll experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and wage & hour regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Workday, ADP, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Professional certification (CPP, SHRM-CP, or PHR) and experience supporting 200+ employees preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain payroll and employee data within HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments and open enrollment activities.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations and issue resolution.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and recruiting coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ACA, ADA, COBRA, EEO).
  • Prepare payroll and HR reports for leadership and internal stakeholders.
