About The Position

Clickstop is looking for top talent to join our Engagement Team as a Human Resource Generalist! This role has a particular focus on payroll, benefits administration, leave management, compliance, employee records, and HR systems. The HR Generalist will help ensure the processes employees depend on are executed accurately and on time, while serving as a knowledgeable resource for employees and managers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work but also wants to understand the bigger picture—how HR processes connect, where problems originate, and how systems can continually be improved.

Requirements

  • Systems Thinking – HR Process Flow Awareness: Understand how HR processes connect. Recognize how errors or missed steps can affect employees, managers, systems, and downstream processes. Identify gaps in workflows and handoffs between HR, managers, and systems. Look for opportunities to improve consistency across HR processes.
  • Judgment & Decision-Making – Process + Policy Application: Apply HR policies and procedures accurately in day-to-day situations. Determine when an issue can be handled independently and when it should be escalated. Interpret guidelines within the context of the situation rather than relying only on rigid execution. Balance responsiveness with accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Ownership & Execution Discipline: Execute HR processes accurately and consistently. Follow tasks and employee matters through from beginning to completion. Maintain strong attention to detail while managing a variety of responsibilities. Keep documentation, records, systems, and required information current. Take responsibility for the quality and reliability of HR outputs.
  • Problem Solving & Process Improvement: Identify recurring problems, inefficiencies, and friction within HR processes. Investigate root causes instead of repeatedly solving the same symptom. Recommend and implement practical process improvements. Learn from mistakes and adjust workflows accordingly. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR systems and processes.
  • Communication & Service Orientation: Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, managers, candidates, and teammates. Respond promptly and thoughtfully to HR-related questions and requests. Explain policies, requirements, and HR processes in simple and understandable terms. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
  • Experience supporting payroll administration and processing, including reviewing payroll information, troubleshooting discrepancies, and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Experience with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, employee changes, open enrollment, and employee questions.
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment practices, with the ability and willingness to stay current on changing requirements.
  • Experience supporting leave administration, employee records, HRIS processes, onboarding/offboarding, or other HR operations.
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Comfort working with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other technology systems and learning new systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • A service mindset and genuine interest in helping employees and managers successfully navigate HR processes successfully.
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset—you notice when something could work better and are willing to help fix it.
  • Commitment to high-quality work, accountability, and alignment with Clickstop’s Core Values.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify, support, and reinforce Great Workplace Culture through commitment and aligned action with our mission and values.
  • Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and dependable by reviewing employee and payroll information, coordinating changes, troubleshooting discrepancies, and partnering with employees, managers, and internal teams to resolve questions and prevent downstream issues.
  • Support benefits administration by coordinating enrollments, employee changes, qualifying life events, and open enrollment, while helping employees understand their benefits and partnering with providers and internal teams to resolve questions or issues.
  • Coordinate employee leave processes by maintaining required documentation, guiding employees and managers through applicable policies and next steps, and ensuring related changes to payroll, benefits, employment status, and HR systems are accurately communicated and processed.
  • Maintain HR compliance through accurate employee records, required documentation, employment eligibility processes, policy administration, reporting, and audits, while staying current on changing requirements and translating policies and regulations into consistent, practical HR processes.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, answering day-to-day questions related to pay, benefits, leave, policies, HR systems, and other employee matters while using sound judgment to resolve issues independently or escalate when additional guidance is needed.
  • Identify recurring errors, inefficiencies, unnecessary complexity, and weak handoffs, looking beyond the immediate task to understand root causes and improve processes, documentation, and systems to prevent future issues.
