This position supports management and the leadership team by handling and resolving Human Resources issues. It involves assisting employees with internal and external transfer requests, monitoring hiring processes with managers, and coordinating various pre-employment checks such as drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification. The role requires maintaining applicant flow, drug screen, orientation, and transfer request logs, as well as creating and maintaining new hire and personnel files in the Human Resources Information System. Responsibilities also include assisting with new employee orientation, ensuring compliance with hiring and recruitment laws and company policies, and accurately maintaining employee records and files. Additionally, the position supports payroll record processing and maintenance, informs HR management of employee relations issues, creates and maintains filing systems, generates HR data reports, answers phone calls, and handles office correspondence. The HR Generalist/Payroll Administrator will serve as an HR subject matter expert, participate in project teams, and train new hires on HR processes, programs, policies, and information systems. The role also requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality, using clear and professional language, preparing accurate written documents, answering telephones with proper etiquette, developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
