About The Position

The HR Generalist/ Manager will play a crucial role in guiding our HR operations and ensuring a positive employee experience. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this position will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, safety/ training, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The candidate must have strong, hands-on recruitment leadership with a track record of building pipelines and closing roles internally. SHRM certification is highly preferred. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. A true model of excellence, high standards, accountability, and discretion. This role is not just administrative. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of HR experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong, hands-on recruitment leadership with a track record of building pipelines and closing roles internally.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A true model of excellence, high standards, accountability, and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed/requested.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, prescreening and interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Assist to investigate complaints brought forward by employees with the General Counsel.
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
  • Employee orientation, development, and training.
