About The Position

We are actively recruiting for a seasoned HR Professional to support our Manufacturing Operations to be based in the Charlotte or Eastern Shore of Maryland area. This Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing HR management and department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Duties include communicating between operations senior management and coordinating with HR management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations. They will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures and programs to assure the successful achievement of company goals and long term objectives. The salary range for this position is $143,000 - $215,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Business Administration/Human Resources with minimum of 12 years of increasing responsibility and at least 10 years in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of employment law, OSHA, Immigration, ERISA, Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, and other laws and regulations
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems. SAP HCM is a major plus
  • Ability to travel 25% to other facilities
  • Experience managing direct reports

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree or SPHR certification.
  • HR Experience with a protein processor.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as strategic business partner to Perdue Foods Manufacturing Operations leadership team. Assists in planning, goal setting, development and execution of business strategic plans, and meeting people, product, planet and profitability goals.
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures. Implements new ideas/concepts to advance HR practices and efficiencies.
  • Works with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that Compensation, Benefits, Wellness, Learning/Development and HRIS activities are supported.
  • Utilize HRIS and other tools (Power BI) to generate data to be used to analyze and develop action plans to improve staffing, retention and manpower.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the HR team, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Maintain proficiency in all current employee related laws including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Title VII etc. Ensures process controls are in place to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
