About The Position

This role is responsible for the HR implementation of employee data privacy regulations, such as CPRA/CCPA, and related employee rights obligations. The lead will own HR data subject request (DSAR) processes, ensuring timely, defensible, and auditable execution. They will translate regulatory requirements into practical HR procedures, controls, and documentation. Additionally, this role serves as the HR lead for employee privacy technology solutions, partnering with HR teams to embed privacy requirements into operations and systems, and supporting change management and training. The lead will also develop, maintain, and operationalize employee privacy notices and ensure consistency between notices, HR practices, and data usage. Collaboration with Legal and Privacy partners is key for clear, compliant employee communications. The role involves cross-functional leadership, acting as the primary HR liaison to Legal, the Enterprise Data Privacy Program, and governance partners, participating in enterprise privacy and compliance forums, and identifying risks and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience working with employee data privacy regulations (CPRA/CCPA or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize regulatory requirements within HR environments.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and HR stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with policies, documentation, and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Implement employee data privacy regulations, including CPRA/CCPA and related employee rights obligations.
  • Own HR data subject request (DSAR) processes, ensuring timely, defensible, and auditable execution.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical HR procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Serve as the HR lead for employee privacy technology solutions (e.g., OneTrust), including onboarding, workflow design, and adoption.
  • Partner with HR teams to embed privacy requirements into HR operations and systems.
  • Support change management and training for HR stakeholders impacted by privacy-related changes.
  • Develop, maintain, and operationalize employee privacy notices, including notices for acquired employees and evolving regulatory scenarios.
  • Ensure consistency between published notices, HR practices, and downstream data usage.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Privacy partners to maintain clear, compliant employee communications.
  • Act as the primary HR liaison to Legal, the Enterprise Data Privacy Program, and governance partners.
  • Participate in enterprise privacy and compliance forums on behalf of HR.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities; provide clear recommendations to HR Data Strategy & Governance leadership.
