We are looking for an organized and ambitious individual to join our Human Resources Team at our corporate office in Auburn, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is seeking to grow their knowledge and experience in the human resources and payroll fields. The HR Coordinator position provides key support for all employees and all terminal locations as the initial point of contact for the human resources team. The coordinator escalates issues to and receives tasks from the HR Generalist II team as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year in a human resources support position
  • Experience working with personal identifiable information and maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Consistent and prompt follow up
  • Excellent customer service with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation, able to set priorities and adjust according to ongoing work demands
  • Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications including Excel, Word, & Outlook is required

Nice To Haves

  • DOT and/or Transportation experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports employees and managers in all locations, multi-state
  • Processes new hire applications and onboarding paperwork for all hourly new hires and rehires
  • Process all inquiries for Verification of Employment
  • Create and maintain all driver DOT files
  • Provides support for HRIS users
  • Performs annual Motor Vehicle Record & annual Clearinghouse Limited Queries processes
  • Issues and tracks random drug screen notices
  • Performs various tasks supporting benefits transactions for new hires, terminations and qualifying event changes
  • Tracks training expirations and reminders
  • E Filing in employee records
  • Assist &/or back up some duties of HR Generalist II position, as needed, with the goal of taking on duties as a growth and development opportunity
  • Cross train with PR Specialist I, as a growth and development opportunity
  • Other duties as assigned
