About The Position

Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a HR Coordinator to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their Human Resources career and eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • One to two years of administrative, customer service, recruiting coordination, or HR experience preferred
  • Experience with UKG or another HRIS is helpful but not required
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Recent graduates and individuals looking to begin a career in Human Resources are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting efforts by posting positions, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating background checks
  • Assist with onboarding activities and new hire orientation
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS information is accurate and up to date
  • Assist with benefits administration, enrollment materials, audits, and employee communications
  • Prepare routine HR reports and assist with data tracking
  • Provide administrative support for the Human Resources department, including invoices, business cards, name tags, and employee requests
  • Respond to employee questions and direct more complex issues to the appropriate HR team member
  • Represent Checkered Flag at job fairs and recruiting events
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, volunteer events, and special HR projects
