Success in this role is defined by your ability to keep the everyday engine of HR running smoothly—turning around routine requests quickly, accurately, and with a service mindset that makes every employee and candidate feel taken care of. You are often the first friendly voice or face someone from HR interacts with—whether it’s a new hire asking about their onboarding paperwork, a manager needing an interview scheduled, or an employee submitting a life event in PlanSource. Getting these "moments" right, accurately and on time, directly shapes how people experience HOPCo. Beyond day-to-day execution, you help bring HR’s culture to life—coordinating the logistics behind employee engagement events like the fall festival and volunteer days, and helping craft the communications that keep people informed. You’re a builder behind the scenes, and you take pride in getting the details right. You report to and work closely with HR Generalists and HR leadership, who guide you and take on anything that requires deeper judgment—giving you a strong support system as you build your HR foundation. CONSIDER THIS ROLE IF. . . You enjoy variety and want exposure to every corner of HR—Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HRIS, and Onboarding—rather than specializing in just one area right away. You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, and you get satisfaction from executing tasks accurately and on time, whether that’s entering HRIS data, tracking a background check, or scheduling a round of interviews. You want to build a foundation for a long-term HR career, and you value having Generalists and HR leadership nearby to learn from and escalate questions to. You like being the friendly first point of contact—for candidates, new hires, and employees with everyday questions—and take pride in making people feel welcomed and taken care of. If you’re looking for a role built around independent strategic decision-making or managing complex, high-stakes matters end-to-end, this may not be the right fit yet—but it could be a great stepping stone toward that kind of role. You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a lot of moving pieces, and you know when something is above your scope and needs to be routed to a Generalist or HR leadership. You thrive in an environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and a service-first attitude matter—and where every day gives you a new chance to learn how HR really works.
