About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations at American Nitrile, with a primary focus on high-volume and entry-level recruiting, onboarding, employee administration, and HR program support. This role serves as an initial resource for employees and supports accurate, timely, and consistent execution of Human Resources processes while partnering closely with the Human Resources Manager.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through on multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate professionally with employees, candidates, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and recognize when employee matters require escalation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting employees across multiple departments and shifts.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • One to three years of Human Resources, recruiting, administrative, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with high-volume recruiting or staffing in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, or learning management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary recruiter for designated high-volume and entry-level positions and maintain an active candidate pipeline to support ongoing staffing requirements.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Manager and operational leadership to understand staffing targets, hiring priorities, and recruiting timelines, including increased hiring needs associated with production growth and new-line launches.
  • Create and maintain job postings, review applications, conduct initial candidate screens, communicate with applicants, schedule interviews, and coordinate candidate activity with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate job offers, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and other hiring documentation for assigned positions.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and applicant tracking information and provide routine recruiting updates and hiring metrics.
  • Assist with job fairs, community outreach, staffing partnerships, recruiting events, and other sourcing initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinate the new-hire onboarding process from accepted offer through orientation, including pre-employment communication, required documentation, HRIS setup, training assignments, and first-day information.
  • Complete and maintain Form I-9 and E-Verify documentation in accordance with established requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee information and personnel records and process approved employee changes within the HRIS, including department, position, supervisor, shift, compensation, and employment status changes.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for routine employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, HRIS access, payroll processes, attendance documentation, and other Human Resources matters; escalate complex or sensitive matters to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, and routine benefit questions and support annual open enrollment activities.
  • Support the administrative aspects of FMLA, leaves of absence, and accommodation processes under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, including distributing forms, tracking deadlines, following up on documentation, and coordinating return-to-work paperwork.
  • Assign required employee training, monitor completion, maintain training records, and follow up with employees and supervisors regarding outstanding requirements.
  • Prepare routine Human Resources letters, notices, employment verifications, employee communications, and other documentation.
  • Assist with preparation, tracking, and filing of coaching, corrective action, attendance, performance, and other employee documentation as directed.
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping support by processing approved employee changes, responding to routine employee questions, and escalating discrepancies requiring additional review.
  • Maintain recruiting, turnover, training, attendance, headcount, and other Human Resources trackers and prepare routine reports for the Human Resources Manager.
  • Assist with employee events, recognition initiatives, communications, and other Human Resources projects and process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately escalate employee relations, legal, safety, accommodation, or other sensitive matters to the Human Resources Manager.
