About The Position

PEPL is seeking an experienced HR Consultant with experience in the nonprofit industry and HR department functional assessments to support a client engagement. This is a hybrid position in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, offering strategic insight and hands-on support in evaluating and optimizing HR operations, systems, policies, and compliance practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including consulting or advisory roles.
  • Strong background in conducting HR operational audits or functional assessments.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and best practices across multiple HR functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ability to be onsite as required by client engagements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with multiple clients or within complex organizational environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive HR department functional assessments, including evaluations of policies, procedures, systems, workflows, and compliance.
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement process improvements across all functional areas of HR.
  • Provide guidance on organizational structure, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations best practices.
  • Ensure HR operations align with the company’s strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Travel to client site as needed to conduct in-person assessments, training, or implementation support.
  • Review, update, and create HR policies and employee handbooks in line with federal, state, and local regulations.
