About The Position

This is a cooperative education (co-op) position for the Fall to Spring period, offering practical exposure to various HR operations, including recruitment, talent acquisition, HR administration, employee engagement, and learning & development. The role involves assisting with daily HR tasks, supporting HR projects, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The co-op student will gain valuable experience working with HR technologies and processes, receive mentorship from experienced HR professionals, and have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful HR projects, fostering professional development and networking.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS, SAP SuccessFactors, or other HR systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in posting job openings on job boards and social media platforms.
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Support candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain recruitment and applicant tracking records.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Prepare HR documents, letters, and reports as required.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support document management and HR database updates.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Support internal communications and employee recognition programs.
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback when needed.
  • Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records.
  • Assist with employee development programs and workshops.
  • Support the tracking of learning and development metrics.
  • Participate in HR improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
