About The Position

PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, they are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Co-op plays a vital role within the PMO & Shared Services team. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operational and administrative support across the full recruitment and employee lifecycle for the PACT partnership. As a collaborative and proactive team member, the incumbent interacts with cross-functional project stakeholders, partners, and candidates, ensuring seamless HR operations in a fast-paced, major infrastructure project environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Degree or Advanced Diploma program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A proven self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a strong willingness to take initiative and go the extra mile.
  • Excellent verbal and verbal communication skills, with a polished, professional demeanor suitable for interacting with executive stakeholders and joint-venture partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential human resources information with the utmost discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or familiarity with Smartsheet, SharePoint, or modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
  • An interest in or basic understanding of the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors, particularly in large capital project environments, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and tracking pipelines within the project management system.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential digital employee records, partner rosters, and organizational charts, ensuring data integrity across shared platforms.
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations, IT provisioning, and site access requirements, delivering a welcoming and organized onboarding experience.
  • Assist in gathering, verifying, and monitoring required compliance documentation, including background checks, safety certifications, and site security clearances.
  • Proactively support HR initiatives, research best practices, and lend general administrative assistance across the PMO team to meet fluctuating project deadlines.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for routine HR inquiries from project staff, partner companies, and external candidates.
