About The Position

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with our business leaders within our restaurant support centers (RSC) to deliver on Chipotle people process and develop people strategies that support Chipotle's strategic priorities. Providing thought partnership, coaching and recommendations, the HRBP will help functional leaders cultivate work environments consistent with our purpose and values. This role will use their understanding of HR principles and employment laws, to support all elements of the talent lifecycle, and apply their knowledge to identify practical solutions for our business challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent
  • Experience working as an HRBP with corporate functions preferred
  • General knowledge of federal and statement employment laws, strong communication, problem solving, influencing and conflict resolution skills, ability to prioritize and use sound judgment to make good decisions
  • Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using Workday

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM-CP certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with client group leadership in the restaurant support center to engage and develop people strategies to drive our company and functional priorities; through insights gathered from talent initiatives & insights, culture shaping programs, reporting & analytics, and employee feedback
  • Provide coaching and guidance to client group leaders on all elements of the talent life cycle; including onboarding, development, engagement, performance and talent management
  • Work with RSC client group leaders as a change agent to effectively lead teams through change
  • Drive HR initiatives (such as succession planning, talent calibrations, compensation cycles) and provide feedback to the centers of excellence to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of programs
  • Proactively identify and address employee concerns in a timely manner; Interpret and apply understanding of Chipotle policies and practices, employment law and other regulations to provide advice, guidance and/or clarification for ER related inquiries.
  • Conduct timely employee relations investigations and make recommendations on the appropriate course of action in partnership with the key stakeholders; including partnership with legal
  • Work closely with the RSC client group leadership teams and the HR team to ensure that we build one culture that reflects our values
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (i.e., Talent Development, Compensation, Talent Management, etc.) to ensure that we develop new solutions that reflect the needs of our client groups and represent our values
  • Partner with leadership in the restaurant support center to engage and develop employees in order to drive our strategic priorities.
