About The Position

The HR Business Partner will support one of Element Solutions Inc's fastest growing businesses by serving as a trusted advisor to several senior leaders. In addition to full-site HR ownership for the Fremont & San Jose locations, the HRBP will partner with key functional leaders supporting the business unit to ensure alignment toward rapidly progressing business goals. As a strategic partner, the role supports organizational and talent development strategies, while leading change management initiatives needed to enable those strategies. The HRBP will be responsible for operational tasks, and will partner closely with HR COEs, namely the Talent Acquisition team as the company rapidly scales up and expands its operations. This is a dynamic role, with an opportunity to make an impact shaping culture alongside leaders and employees. This HRBP will sit in Fremont, CA with potential for additional oversight and scaling as the business grows.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience with preference for HR Business Partner or HR Manager roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required
  • Excellent communication skills including strong executive presence and the ability to understand the needs of the business and how HR enables success
  • Possesses well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills (written, spoken, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment where often good judgment is required to balance the needs of the business with existing policies, procedures, and other constraints
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Passionate about creating and growing in a start-up environment
  • Able to think clearly under pressure and to radically prioritize key objectives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leadership teams to align current and future business needs with the HR strategy and ensure alignment to the overall company strategy, culture and values
  • Serve as a member of the business unit leadership team - enabling execution on strategic projects and breakthroughs
  • Partner in implementing organizational talent planning and talent acquisition strategies
  • Develop, communicate, and own specific KPIs for the business unit
  • Ensure the proper roll out of HR processes within assigned sites and employee groups (systems, performance reviews, engagement, etc.)
  • Support performance management of staff and manage employee relations as necessary
  • Support local-level recruiting by actively partnering with the Talent Acquisition COE - this is a rapidly scaling environment
  • Identify people or capabilities gaps (e.g. performance, talent, compensation) and develop targeted solutions for the assigned employee groups
  • Integrate and partner with global and local HR colleagues in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation COEs to implement solutions and help scale the business
  • Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions within the assigned sites employee groups
  • Act as a culture carrier, finding ways to demonstrate and foster an environment where the "5Cs of our culture" and "IDEAL" leadership can thrive
