About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner for the Division of Student Life (DSL) will collaborate closely with DSL HR, the Staff Engagement Advisory Board, and division leaders to enhance DSL as a workplace. This role will support various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and performance development. A key aspect of this position is implementing strategies to cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace culture. The HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and staff, assisting them with navigating HR policies, resolving issues, and supporting professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of four years of HR generalist experience preferably in higher education or a complex organization
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Passion for creating inclusive and positive work environments

Responsibilities

• Work closely with DSL HR, the Staff Engagement Advisory Board, and leaders across the division to help make DSL the best place to work.
• Support a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, and performance development.
• Play a key role in implementing strategies that foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace culture.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and staff, helping to navigate HR policies, resolve challenges, and support professional growth.
